The Pistol
Smith & Wesson's scandium-frame 1911 — a working full-size .45 ACP that carries lighter than its all-steel counterparts without sacrificing the platform's feel.
A scandium-frame .45 ACP carry pistol with factory paperwork, three magazines, holsters, and roughly five hundred forty-five rounds of ammunition.
This pistol was given to my wife by her grandfather. She took it through a four-day handgun training course at Sure Shot in Las Vegas, carried it as her everyday-carry for a season, and shot it occasionally at the range. Around a thousand rounds in total, all documented and consistent with the wear you see.
She is not a .45 ACP shooter anymore. The pistol has been sitting in the safe, well cared for, and we would rather see it go to someone who will actually carry or shoot it than have it continue to age on a shelf.
What follows is an honest account of the gun, what is included, and the asking price. The S&W SW1911PD is the scandium-alloy lightweight variant of the 1911 platform — about twenty-eight ounces of carry-friendly weight in a full-size, all-steel-feeling pistol. A working sidearm, not a safe queen.

A complete carry kit — factory case, three magazines, two carriers, a duty holster, and the original paperwork from the factory.
Roughly five hundred forty-five rounds of .45 ACP, in original boxes — primarily steel-case TulAmmo FMJ for range work, with a box of Winchester JHP for carry.
TulAmmo is steel-case, not brass. It feeds reliably in most 1911s and is fine for range work; some shooters prefer brass for reloading or for older guns. Listing it accurately so there are no surprises.
Light surface rust at the muzzle. Being addressed before sale (bronze brush, no abrasives). Won't affect function; cosmetic only.
~1,000 documented rounds. Specific, not vague. Most of those were fired during the 4-day Sure Shot training course; the remainder at occasional range trips.
Mechanically sound. Never had a feeding, ejecting, or cycling issue across the round count. Buyer is welcome to dry-fire and inspect before purchase.
Serial number redacted in the public photos for security; will be shared privately with serious buyers and is visible on the factory paperwork at handoff.
Component retail and used-market values are shown below. The asking price assumes a single buyer who wants the whole carry kit, not someone parting it out.
